Alina Bichieva is a director and writer working across narrative, commercial and music video projects. She is also a photographer, working across digital and film photography with a primary focus on portraiture.
Her journey as a visual storyteller began with a deep love for cinema and the visual arts. Influenced by films across eras and cultures, Alina brings a cinematic sensibility to everything she creates — whether she is telling a story, building a world around a song, developing branded content, or capturing a still image.
She began her filmmaking career writing and directing short films that have screened at festivals internationally, earning Oscar-, BAFTA- and BIFA-qualifying selections. Most recently, her short film Paranoia has been selected for UK and international festivals and screened at the BFI in London as part of 225 Film Club, where it received a Special Mention.
As a photographer, Alina is drawn to people — exploring vulnerability, strength and identity through intimate portraiture. She has collaborated with musicians, actors and dancers across a range of creative projects.
Alongside short films and photographic work, Alina has directed music videos and commercials. Her background in storytelling continues to shape her approach to non-narrative work, always placing character, emotion and visual language at the centre of every project.
